Better Race buggy Ofnas LX1 RTR of Hyper7 black RTR
Sort of confused about these OFNA buggys. Im looking to get into local races, i want to get a buggy that i could mod and be able to compete. Whats that difference between OFNAs Hyper 7 black RTR or OFNA Ultra LX-1? and which one would you recomend buying for a starter race buggy ?

Hyper 7 all the way. But I stress replace the hyper engine with something more high end. And replace the aluminum parts, Radio Tray, Shock towers, center diff top plate with carbon fiber. The stock ones are kinda cheap. Carbon Fiber makes the buggy lighter and tougher. And the higher End block..go with some name brand OS, GRP, PICCO, AXIAL. I know I own a hyper 7 and the stock 3 port is a very tight rough motor to start. These upgrades are going to cost you probably $250-$300 and doesnt need to be done all at once... But if your going to be racing at a track the guys your going against are probably going to have a lot more done.

Thanks for the advice, What makes the Hyper 7 a better race buggy then the LX-1, is it just because how many Hop-up mods are out there or is it just how the overall buggy was designed? What year did the Hyper 7 black & Ultra Lx-1 come out
