Default RC Internet Store issue

Guy has this ever happen when using this internet store.

I order 4pk from RC-mushroom.com and that night I receiver an email stating that they needed the following information in order to process the order:

Copies of my ID
Credit card statement showing my address
Both sides of my credit card copy and send to them..

Does this seem a bit to much to process an order using a Credit Card??

Thanks

I would shop elsewhere. I have placed orders well in excess of $600 at Nitrohouse.com and Amainhobbies.com and have never had to supply such detailed information like that.

RC-Mushroom sounds like a Hong Kong store... Is it?? If so, be extremely careful. There are some very reputable stores in Hong Kong, but there are just as many suspicious online stores as well.

Best of luck!

Dude. People get there identity stolen from giving there email addreses now a days. Not saying anything will happen , but giving that much info over the net is very dangerous!!!! Just give them a call and place your order like that. If they ask for all the info then atleast you can consider legit.. Goodluck. Hopefully you get the controller no problem.

DON'T GIVE ANY OF THAT INFORMATION sending any of that information over the internet is not the right thing to do, I don't care who they sponsored. If you filled out there application form that should be enough or pay them through another source like Paypal or Google check out [:-]

RcMushroom is More then credible...i would Not hesitate to forward this info if needed....i do know a buddy had to do this with A-main on 2 occasion's...they were how ever 3000.00+ order's...and it was on his Mom's credit card...so they asked for this Exact same info....for 450$ it seems a little excessive....but im sure they have a reason...did you inquire as to why they were wanting this info or if there was another way ?

You don't necessarily need to send all that info over the net either.[&:] Fax it.....I know it's a bit old school, but better than having all that personal info of yours floating around in cyber space, eh?

You can get the 4pk from an American store like Amain or CarolinasRC for the same price once you use their coupon codes. I'd buy it from them, plus you'll get it faster and it'll be the model made for North America.
