Default new picco 9.5 rtr

just picked one up and it runs handles excellent compared to the revo, its freaking amazingly fast and can turn at speed without rolling, lol. and quick mods i can do to increase performance? is the stock resonator set for max performance or are there better pipes out there for the .21?

well i found out the hard way i need a beefed up steering servo the hard way. first time it didnt land right and cartwheeled it stripped the gears inside the steering servo, and suggestions on servos? futaba? and model numbers? thanks

Get away from futaba servos invest the money in high quality servos Hitec servos are the best out there, IMO.

I run AE same as ACE made by Thunder Tiger. Good servos at a decent price.

hanks for the advice, i was looking at the futaba because of low price, hitec servos are pricey but i guess you get what you pay for

Yes the futabas are cheap. And yes you get what you pay for.

I recommend a servo with at least 175oz torque and a speed of .13 or faster. A good servo makes a BIG difference in handling.
I run the AC which is the same thing as a ACE 1313 for the brake throttle and the 1015 for steering.

I run these in my Hyper 8.5, my race Savage and will be running the 1313 for a throttle brake in my new HPI Baja B5 SS. The B5 is a 1/5 scale and comes with a giant steering servo.

do these have metal gears? thats what i was going for!!!
