i have had my xt2 for over 1 and a half years now and want to step it up into something more experienced. can you guys tell me what each of the following buggies are good at (pros and cons) i have no price range and have many freinds that are very experienced builders. mbx-6, mp9, xb808, Jammin X2 Pro, 8IGHT 2.0. these are the main ones i was thinking of. thank you

I would go with the Xray, Mugen and maybe the 8ight... The mp9 is waaay over priced in my opinion...
But also look what you're LHS stocks... But I see u live in Australia, so maybe you shop online? Then that isn't an issue.
And see what the other guys run, sometimes you can share parts (when they're kind, lol) and set-ups.
But if you have something that not many people have.. Then you pick that one...
I'd say, look on internet for reviews etc. and choose the one that feels the best...
Maybe u can try cars at the track... Good luck

The MP9 is costly only because it's NEW. They always do that. Nothing wrong with having an older Inferno. Plenty of nice 777's still available. They're very competitve.

My first choice would be [link=http://www.kyoshoamerica.com/cars/index.php?part_num=31782]Inferno MP9 [/link]
Second in line would be [link=http://www.hobbypeople.net/gallery/147245.asp]ZMXB-8[/link] it should be available from Ripmax on your side of the pond

And it was MY opinion... so if you don't find it expensive, then okay..

I just saw an Team Associated RC8 Factory Team. Its a factory built kit but the parts seem to be extremely good quality and all you need to complete it is radio, motor, pipe and wheels. And ive seen then race and are very competitive to LOSIs and XRAYS.

I'd choose the Mugen too mainly because I drive a Thunder Tiger S3, and they are quite simillar. The TTR s3 could be another choice too btw, I'm gonna get flack for this post. lol Here's a pic of mine, I have alot of time to upgrade it here in Canada, winters are loooong!! If you can get parts for it I would definately recommend it. If you shop online, parts are easy to get Amain hobbies, thundertiger4u, etc.

They might be old..er, but not much can touch it here. My biggest comp is an AE rc-8 ,which by the way has all tt drivetrain.
i dont understand the need to have the newest of everything when what you have works just fine! I can compete with any Losi, mugen, Never seen an X-ray, but they dont scare me, etc.
I blew out a tire at a big race last year, and still managed to finish third in the a main. If the tire hadn't ripped, I would have won by nearly a lap on second place.
