I know where all the golf courses are in Germany ............ LOL someone on the base should be able to help you out just do a lot of checking. Other than that all I can say is be damn careful in Germany [:@] the green people are like the gestapo and they are no joke. Make sure that anything you do there is in the right place. How about around the air field? Good Luck and HAPPY RC'en

Yo dude, I lived in Germany for 17 years, great fun. You can run just about anywhere you want, I used to go to the tank training area out back behind our camp, there is also a place called VOSVINKEL MX BAAN, it used to be a moto cross track but nobody goes there anymore with mx bikes. Whilst you there try to go to Dortmund model bau messe, its probably the biggest model show in Germany. I still have lots of friends down there so I'll ask around for you, even if you go into town and just have a talk with people in bars or resteraunts you'll find people who share the same interests. You could also just go to the local police station and ask them where the locals do there model racing. The Gastapo hasnt been around anymore since the end of the war and you'll find the Germans that are still alive are quite friendly.

Sorry Toves, I just phones to a friend in germany to ask for the address but he told me the mx track in Voswinkel has gone. Damn shame, it was a great place to go and play.
I'm pretty sure though that if you go to the local store (hobby shop) that they will know of a couple of places where you could go race.
Good luck and sieg smile
Quick question for you though, are you stationed anywhere near a German camp (normaly YES), if you go to there guard room and tell them that your an American soldier bases locally they will put you in contact with other guys who are also into the hobby. Germans are actually quite friendly people. It was just Adolf who was an ass hole (and a few others, i.e Geobels, Himmler ect).

I guess i should have worded that a little better but I bet you never had a bunch of those idiots invade parking areas at golf coarse or yelling at people down fare ways....LOL.... gestapo was just a term of endearment for those jerks. Lez is very right about asking around and the the people are very friendly for the most part. If you want them to really try and help you try and learn a little German Language they really appreciate it when you try. I only lived there about 7 years but if I could have gotten a Geschäftslizenz I would still be there. I loved it. Helps that it part of my heritage .......... Good luck you should have no problem

There are tracks all over.. You need to get into some German forums to find out more about what's near you.. Requires some German probably..

Try google.de - "RC strecke" or "buggy strecke" or "RC truggy bahn" or those kinds of things, then whatever big cities are near...
