i just bought a new ofna ultra lx1. the break in process went great, then the next day when i went to run the buggy it freaked out. when i started it up it went full throttle, i checked everything. the remote was on and everything was working. then i fired it up again and it done the same thing. i adjusted the trim on the remote and it was fine. then i run it for a couple of minutes made one jump the it went nuts. finally died then i checked everything again. i fired it up again run a min or so made one jump and BAM full throttle for no reason. it barely wants to turn and it will not turn if sitting still. i have changed the steering servo 3 times. could it be this cheap AM radio that comes with it? did i mention that i had my lhs pro look at it.. everything looks fine, no metal to metal. but both servos twitch (sometimes)..... please help me!!!!!

robbiesmechanic, I don't know the Ultra LX1, but I'm guessing it's like most other sort of buggy. Sounds to me like you may have a stripped out throttle servo horn insert.
Most servo horns don't fit directly onto the servo post. There will be a small plastic insert you place inside the horn, that couples with the servo post. There is usually a letter on these inserts that corresponds with the servo maker. I.e: F = Futaba, H = Hitech, etc.
Or upgrade to an aluminium servo horn made to fit the servo brand.
Give that a try and let us know.

its not just the throttle servo............... its both servos....... run great first day and then i replaced the steering servo on the second day and they are both acting up now. it doesnt matter if im at the track or the desert........ it does it anywhere.... im use a friends receiver and radio and see if that fixes the problem

Sounds like a good idea. Try a FM or Spektrum system. If it clears up, you'll know it's a problem with your AM system.

check to make sure that the reciever cable(ANTENA) is not to close to the engine as that will also produce radio interfierence. Are your batteries O.K. NON leaking or not charging properly.
Keep us informed so we can follow and help out a bit, then when your ready get ready to race.

so i replace the steering servo again cause there was bare wire showing and i think that was part of the problem... i also switched to a traxxas 2.4 system and all the problems went away....so i think it was some of both causing the trouble....
