It isnt even possible, no one even knows if the motors we run today make 1 HP. It's all relative and to add to that- he doesn't even DYNO his own engines. He sends them away to get this done. I'm not on Rick, I like his attitude and work as far as I've seen, My question to you is- Do you have a base for comparison, by that I mean have you run one of his motor and compaired it to another mod? Also 5.5hp did he print that or was it someone else? Why do you feel the need to insult others by calling them children? I understand that you have a right to your oppinion however there are better ways to get your point across than to be insulting. One of his Chronies printed (typed) that 5.5 HP figure both on his website and Sgrid. |

So that is why you start up the bashing and emailing others to join in on all the other forums for the last 4 months just to bash me? That's silly and not fair to me. All I've done is dedicate myself to helping others and you try to degrade me for it because of what someone else has wrote? Then when someone shows a genuine interest you call them children or cronies. Brother that isn't right. You need to think about what your saying before you type it. That's all i have to say unless i start uploading the emails.

I'm sorry Kev, This guy has been bashing me for 4 months on other site forums. I know it's unlike me, so I'm sorry. I don't wish hate on anyone but pour all my passion in the engines i build, each and everyone. Just a little tired of the unrelenting badgering about something i have no control over, like what good things people publish about me and then paying for it.

Sir, I can understand where Skyline350GT is coming from though. 5.5HP and 50K+ RPMs is a very very bold statement to make. And to allow it to be published without reviewing it before hand is also careless. I am not doubting your skill, but there is also such a thing as embellishment.
However, I would not go far as to call people children if they like your work. Perhaps diligence is needed in the future so that slip-ups of 5.5HP or 50K+ RPMs do not get away. |

ok sorry, I just saw a modded P5 done by him for 320 $ which I thought was quite cheap so im trying to find out what their like, cant find any info on his engines though. Must be bcos fusionmotorsports is pretty new.

One thing I have always wondered, if you can tweak more power out of an engine using things like porting why don' t the companies like Novarossi, RB etc. build it into their engines in the first place. I suppose it must keep costs down.

I will tell you this. Lately i have seen a lot of P5's with bad rods in them and only a gallon of fuel through them so be careful when buying a P5 of any type. I've seen 6 this week and if anyone has the same problem and are blowing plugs buy a Berg or a Crono rod from Eric at GB Direct 407-493-3628 they seem to be a better rod. Also the
TT cranks in the RB WS7 11 and the C5's are getting to be a rash of those out, The rod pin on the crank are wearing out before the rod, I have seen 3 of those this week. They can be replaced by the P5 crank or the 421B by Nova Rossi or any of the Crono cranks and even the JP cranks epoxy filled or not. If you have any questions you can contact me direct. Rick |

I often wondered that my self, Maybe they don't want to have to replace blown up engines, Well it wouldn't do any good because the RB and Nova Rossi will not even admit they have a flaw in their engines let alone warrantied anything out. Direct quote "You bought it" and "We do not produce any engines with flaws in them, Or quality is to high"

While I can't know if you made the claims or they were made in your name, I did check into the claim that you bought a modded engine from Ed Bridges and according to his ebay feedback, you did. I can't help but wonder why someone that made the following claims in an ebay ad for their service would need to buy an engine from their competition. The paragraph in blue is a direct lift from your last ebay auction. " Hey guys, Here it is what i have had a ton of requests to do is auction off a few mods. I do all engines, Guaranteed to run better, smoother and a ton of linear power. This is the one and only real mod on the market, the most complete mod, and not just a bored out crank for 100.00 like other do. Visit my web site ,forums and live chat every night. To have all your questions answered by my drivers or me" Not only does the above beg the question of why you bought an engine from your competition, it also pretty much sinks your claim of not talking about the work of others in your line. In fairness it should be pointed out that in your ebay listing you did not discuss an individual, or that individual's work as it compares to your own, but you have to admit this line from your auction description "This is the one and only real mod on the market, the most complete mod, and not just a bored out crank for 100.00 like other do." is nothing more than a blanket damnation of every other individual in the same line of work. |

fhm101...ouch! I know you meant well or did not want to stir anything up, but ouch! That is a kick in the...ouch!
RBMods, he does have a point. I paroozed on the Sgrid forums last night and found a similar claim by someone. I will find it and link the 5.5HP and 50K+ RPM increase claim here. There is a saying, not saying this is related to you RBMods, but "embellished claims leads to embellished quotes." Perhaps you should be more frank with your customers and say there is a certain % increase in performance? Perhaps Dynoing the engines before and after the modifications are done would be very well advised as well. That should give you a basis and support in claims by how much % increase your mods provide. ;) But nice work nontheless! I have respect for your work! :D |

For the record, I did buy a mod off Ed bridges and it did run great and i have never said anything but praise for the man. I never talked bad to him to anyone. I believe he is a good modifier and will take nothing from him and he has my respect. The article was in reference to another modifier that has came on ebay and has tried to copy my mods from pics i have posted in the past, It had nothing to do with Ed. The other modifier i am talking about had posted his mods and stated Not RBMods so when a search was brought up on me, which happends all the time it would bring him up. Now you say you don't want to start anything then why are you bringing things up that happened before i even started my business, the change over form air craft mods? Now this is the last post i am going to make on this thread unless it has to do with modifying rather than defending myself from a handful while there are 1000's out there that praise what i do.

If i have a mod dynoed then there would be people saying it doesn't make a difference and that there are to many variables to dynoing. It's a loose- loose situation but i do tell if you don't like my mod i will buy it back or replace it. Also in the past when i was dynoed by one of my clients, If asked i did repeat what they said, Not that i agreed with them.

The 5.5 HP 55K rpm claim WAS on your website for a while. It was a quote from one of your customers testimonials. BUT, it disappeared shortly after SPARK shut down your RB mods thread on sgrid because everyone was having a field day at your expense. Mainly because of that 5.5 HP 55K claim. If you didnt agree witht eh 5.5 hp claim why did you put it on your site and then go and let your chronies ( Who claimed to be factory drivers of yours) repeat that on SGRID? |

That was the link I was going to provide, that FHM101 was referring to I think. It was one of the RBMods threads on Sgrid. The claim was made by one of your team drivers. I think you may have to hire more...mature...drivers to represent your work? Great skill can be killed by embellished claims at the drop of a hat. It could even affect the way subsequent customers view your work.
In a way, I feel bad that you have to go through this scrutiny, RBMods. But I am very sure it is beneficial for you at the same time because it shows how some people, who are not all there in the head, can mess up your work. Perhaps a clause to address this situation should be included in your waiver form for the modifications? |
