Default Dimension Questions

Hello all i am planning on making an airboat powered by a Rovan 30.5cc 2 bolt motor with a Master Airscrew 14x7 3 blade pusher. I was looking on here and found this build plan by Mr Cajun Gator that i wanted to start at( link on bottom). Is this big enough to support the size motor i will be using or will i need to scale it larger? The boat will be made either of blue insulating foam or plywood either way it will be glassed. All advice is appreciated. Thank you guys!!!

Those plans are basically scaled for a 6.5-7.5cc engine. A 30cc sized engine is way too big for that sized hull. You should be looking at roughly 1.5 times prop diameter for hull width and at least 3 times prop diameter for length. So for your engine and prop size, expect 21-24" wide and 42-48" long. Probably end up being 20-30lbs depending on how you build.
