Default Gotta question.....

With the melting snow our airfield is flooded. A bunch of us guys have airboats we mess with till the field dries. So over the winter I built the Big dumas swamp buggy. Looks GREAT. My question is how can I keep the bow from bouncing so much that I cant open the throttle all the way without it flipping over. I DON'T want to put a big ole wing on the bow. I did shim the motor a couple of washers in the front. Don't no if that will work till the weekend. Any suggestions???

Thanks Guys
Hoss

Lil Hoss, you may have your c.g. too far aft. The balance point should be around 30% from the stern to the bow. Add some weight and try it. You can also try trim tabs. One on each sponson. Try it level with the bottom and work down from there. Dennis

You need to build a waterproof radio box or use a tupperware type container for your reciever / batteries - your servos can be protected (dipped in something or other)or they can take a few dunkings as is before they seize up.

I had the best luck with this type. Sorry I thought I had a better picture - you can barely see it below the prop - sunk into the deck.

The receiver and the battery are wrapped in a baggie. They are not getting wet but the servo's are. What I might try to do is use wax paper and a silicon sealer and screw it down to make a gasket. Hope it works
Sorry about the spelling in the last post........... I didn't proof read it

I have tried this method on making gaskets. It came out a little bumpy... needed more practice. Good luck....less is more.
