I just purchased a new remote and it has telemetry. I am curious if this is useful to hook up in a boat application or would it be more of an issue than its worth? Its a spektrum dx2s. Also is it necessary for me to get a marine receiver vs the one it came with?

Would have been smarter to read here .. before buying a Spectrum.
And YES .. marine RX is compulsory.
And NO .. telemetry is NOT usefull while driving .. you need your eyes on the water ,
but you can read out the telemetry-readings on the PC at home.
