Shockwave 36 to electric conversion
Hi has anyone done such a conversion? This will be my first venture into electrics and was wondering what the best motor and controller will be for this boat. I was also looking to keep the drive cable and its related components the same. Will this be feasible?

RE: Shockwave 36 to electric conversion
Hi RapMan,
This size boat could do with a typical a mono 3 set-up; a 800 motor in direct drive on 20-24 cells sub-C, start with a 42K prop and work your way up (45K will be the most economical prop as far as speed /runtime is concerned).
Once youve got this up and running you can upgrade to a metal prop / brushless motor / lipo's, the sky is the limit.
Regards, Jan.

Thanks Jan, appreciate it. Do you know of any online stores where I can check out these items? I'm more of a heli guy.
