Default gas muffler

Aloha! I'm sort of new to rc gas (not nitro) boats. Is there a rule that your muffler should not extend above your prop?

Not really. There is one about the outlet being pointed sort of down. Pulse-jet, you know?

(So much 'tongue-in-cheek' with that, you'd have to turn sideways to get through a door...wide door.)

No, it's quite common for add-on mufflers to extend way beyond the transom.
