A friend of mine has a TT 21 outboard engine and today hit the prop off the warf he was running the boat from. The prop now does not engage and when the engine is running. I took the engine apart and everything is fine except the prop shaft doesn't engage the main flex shaft. It looks to me like something like a shear pin or something is broke and would like a part # or some advice on a solution to the problem. Thanks

Take a look at the prop shaft assembly. There is a small hole there that should have a piece of wire in it. If it's gone you can take a paper clip or a T-tack and insert it in there, give it a twist or glue it in and your good to go.

Gonna take alook and c if this is the problem but it sound like that could be the cure. One question will the paper clip hold and will it shear if something like this happens again. Thanks

Thanks for the idea. Tried it today and it seems to work fine. Will be out running the boat again by the weekend so I'll report back then on the performance in the water.
