Default Quick question about water P/U's

Assuming that mounting it dead center wasn't possible, what side works better?

The right side (looking from the back) where it will catch water on as the prop blade exits the water, or the left side where it will get water when the prop blade first enters the water? (Surface drive)

Anyone??

Default Water pick up

Either way will work. The best method by far is a pick up built in to the rudder. (Unless you are running a steerable outdrive)
The Fullers wedge rudders with the water pick up are simple, virtuly drag free, and make double use out of one unit.

They are available from Fullers Fast Electrics or from Climate Models

I don't think so. The pin is in there pretty good. The best side is on the right behind the prop or there are other places that work well also. A transom mounted pickup is another spot.
