Captured FLIPS, ROLLS, etc
I am studying non-collision crashes (rolls, flips, etc). I know there are a lot of variables (speed, wind, water, CG, lift, etc) but I would like to get a better handle on them.
I am looking for anyone that has captured it on video. If you have, please post link here.
If anyone has Eagletree data-recordings even better. I am sure I am going to have to sacrifice a couple of my boats for this study but in the long run it will be worth it.
Thanks!

Got a couple. This first one was my son getting a little crazy with the SV 27. The video repeats.

Check sidebars for other crashes, flips, etc.

I've seen some strange blow-overs and crashes in my time. At one race alone I saw a Sport 40 do a full 360 in the air and keep on going like nothing happened. In the mono class I saw a Seaducer nose-dive completely under the water and while down there, another boat drove over it then the 'dunker resurfaced and kept on going.

Spend a few hours searching You-Tube, watched too many to even count in the last few years posted by folks on various RC boat message boards.
Not what you asked for .... but what we RC boaters try and avoid !!

Dont have a video but last summer I realized I was about to hit bouy 4 and wrenched the steering left hard (I was CLOSE)... rigger came out of the water pointed straight up and did a couple fast pirouettes before coming down upside down.... was very cool to see.... I said 'I never seen it do THAT before!"

Clint, I just watched this one. It was shot in 2008 and just finished. Lots of crash and burn stuff in the first half.

Ok, no burn but lots of what you're looking for.
