the PBS is pretty strong but it can be broken. the ball ends break easly. you get 8 new ball ends for about 9 bucks. I have a PBS and a Pro. I like the Pro it handles alot better with the C-Hubs with 22 degree.

lynx , i got my hyper 7 from Angel, it was his personal car that he got that paul coleman used to race himself before angel used it. it is set up with c hubs, i aksed him why not PBS and well they replied that for racing that the c hub preformed better to them. so go figure ....
i personally do not notice a huge difference myself as i am no expert and do not have 2 exact cars side by side except for the hubs to compare.

Both the C-hub and the PBS have their strong points and weaknesses. PBS is so popular because it offers a degree of tuneability that the C-hub cannot match. The drawback to the PBS is a significant amount of twist/flex in the the front knuckles. The theory is that even though the Pivot Balls can be "tuned" with a greater degree of accuracy than the C-hub, the suspension geometry of the PBS changes through out the run because of the twisting and flexing in the front knuckles. The C-hubs on the other hand are in a fixed position and remain that way, which leads to a more consistent setup. The drawback to the C-hub design? Lack of adjustability as compared to the PBS. As for the ball ends breaking easily on the PBS, nope! Not a shred of truth to that rumor. I've blown a countless number of landings and have yet to replace a pivot ball.
So who do you believe? If you ask Mugen, they would probably tell you that Pivot Ball is the way to go because that's what the MBX 5 uses. Ask Ofna and they will probably say go with the C-hub because that's what they have designed into their flagship race buggy the Hyper 7 Pro. Kyosho, well they use the C-hub too, so who do you listen to? More important, does it really make a difference? To me, it does not. Most of us will probably never drive our buggies at a level where we can actually realize the difference between the two designs. Get what you like and go out and have fun. Remember, the biggest single difference between all of the buggies is the person driving them.

Here is the scoop - just got off phone with OFNA - A new PCR Pro will be out before Christmas.
I am selling my PBS on EBay in next couple of weeks. First letting my other stuff sell. I am trying to figure out what else to get. Other day I got the itch, and told my wife I am getting rid of EVERYTHING I have and get me somethine new. I had 10 different RC cars total. 2 I forgot about until unpacking some boxes.
The current Hyper 7 Pro out now comes with PBS & C-Hub. So the person can choose what they want to run. The one that comes out next month will be a longer chasis and have the what ever the PCR updates to it with some other hop-ups.
I think I am going to wait and get the new pro for myself.
