Default torment steering issues...

my ecx torment has a MG996R steering servo...which has plenty of runt.

The problem is that the "C" ring on the bell crank gets weak. the ring is basically the servo saver. But its weak and now the wheels wont center...even tho the servo does.

I have replaced this ring once already!

Im considering simply glueing the 2 halves of the bell crank and the "C" ring all together...basically removing the servo saver. Im not to worried about the servo being damaged, as its metal geared and if it should break its cheap to replace. But I do worry about the steering hub, arm and servo arm.

Thoughts? Do I have any other option? Having a SCT that doesnt center its wheels is a huge pain to drive!

Ok... Since no one here wants to do the leg work..I'll do it..lol I looked up the manual/ parts list for ur truck. I took a look at the servo saver.
It's that week plastic ring like Tamyia used. Heres a thought...it might work..it worked for me on another truck. My Losi Lst 2.
It uses medal bands for the tension on the servo saver ..and for racing to was very week. the trick was to add more metal band..It worked,
great!! U might be able to use those same losi Lst SS bands , and clip them around that plastic stock one on ures. I add 2 extra bands on mine. Good luck hope that helps!!

im not sure what you mean by metal bands....

but I see where you are going...wraping something around the "C" ring to keep it from opening up as easy as it does....thus keeping the steering tighter.

got a pic of your metal bands?
