I have a dilemma on my hands here. I am selling my Micro SCT and should get around $50-80. Should I get my first true crawler? It would be an Exceed 1/16 crawler, but I think it would be fun indoors. Or, should I get another set of lipos for my Summit? I only have one set of Turnigy 5000mah's, and they last me around 25-30 minutes, but I would like another set of batteries (looking for even higher rated packs) so I can continue the fun when it runs out. Let me know what you guys think:

the dynam "icanfly" from nitro planes is great for the price. was my 1st 4ch plane. $120 shipped, RTR with brushless running gear. 3 foot'ish wingspan.
I love my axial scx10, and I have had a ax10, wheely king, rs10 ext. I have had a couple of mini crawlers thinking that indoor crawling would be fun. Well, for me it just wasnt.
If you want to try rock crawling, save up for a 1/10. the exceed 1/10 or the redcat rs10...both are OK for the money and can be made into decent rigs with alittle modding and not alot of extra money.

Thanks for the opinions guys, but for now I'll probably just use the money for gas because I've decided to put my brushless Summit up for sale. If I can get around $500 for it, I'll let her go and get me something really tough.

Like I said, I'm just gonna wait and see what happens with my Summit. I would like to get a nice BL basher (something nice like an Ofna) and a crawler, but we'll see what my budget allows for.

A venom creeper kit is like $125 shipped. Youll need a radio, esc, motor and servo to add to it, but you would still be under $200 and have a nice 1/10 scale rig. I have had the creeper and safari creeper. Both were pretty nice.

Ive had the mini QLO. Nice rig (as is the mini/micro losi) just doesnt seem to be as much fun as 1/10 scale crawlers.

I do- a lot. It's just that the drivetrain is already starting to show it's weak points, really the whole reason why I'm selling it. A buddy has a brushless Summit and has broken multiple driveshafts and several diffs (they only use 2 spider gears instead of 4). All of that looked like a huge pain and like no fun, so I put it up for sale a couple of places for $550, lipos included. I calculated it and it would be over $1000 to build a truck like this with everything brand new, so I should get what I'm asking.

brushless + big tires = lots of stress on drivechain

main reason I dont own a emaxx....plastic slider shafts. even the brushed version will slowly twist and then snap those. and they are a pain to replace(not cheap either)
What did you hear bad about the venom creeper? except for the CVD center shafts having the captured pin come out (gotta loctite those guys) its a solid model IMO.
Sure, stock tires suck. But slap some better rubber on and the creeper does well. I never had any issues with the axles themselves, and the trans is tough.
Anyway, just my opinion. The axial is better, but alot more cash.
If it were my money, id buy a creeper kit over the exceed options. At least you would be able to find parts and upgrades for the venom.

Lol, yes you're right. It's just frustrating that Traxxas doesn't upgrade the diffs to be heavy duty in modern standards (not 1990's) and keeps those stupid plastic axles. Come on Traxxas...

manufactures like ofna focus on durability because parts availability is slim, if things wore out quickly and you mix that with minimal parts availability- no one will buy your product.
I forgot which, but exceed makes a clone of I think a Axial. not a bad kit, the guy I talked to was very happy with it.
