Stripped set screw on output drive
See the picture I need to replace the motor mount because the one on the truck is bent out of whack and grinding the gears weird.. The stripped set screw has stripped nearly round and it sits flush so I can't grind a notch for a flat head..
Any ideas?
If I have to drill it out where can I buy screws like this? No local hobby shop
Thanks
Andrew

You can also try to use a tad bigger torx-bit and knock it into the screw, this helped me out while taking a car that i bought second hand apart. I guess this was the reason that i got it apart

there are bits a hardware stores which cut into the head a bit and have a second bit that can then bite in and back out the screw.
Other option (this will ruin the cup) is to buy a metal drill bit the same diameter as the screw and drill the crap out of it.
But before either of those, see if you can get a flat head screwdriver or something between the outdrive and the motor mount and pry the outdrive off. This would be a bad idea of the motor mount wasnt getting replaced, but in your case it may get the outdrive off.
Heat may help as well.

if it was me I would try a Pinion Gear Puller

But most dont own one. I know I dont. But it would work well in this case.

JB weld the hex driver in place. Clean it real good with a degreaser, mix up a small batch of JB weld, let set for 24 hours.
