Only wish I remember where I put the damn remote(or could find 2 cheap 100% forward 100% reverse with no brake ESC's to rig in it)

That kyosho rally car is awesome....... Mind u, I think the suspension is just a tad stiff lol...
Wow 1/5 rally cars have come along way... Look at that compared to a losi 5ive rally
Hey Syco, u should get some of those $15 ESC I'm using in my clodbuster... They are forward, brake, reverse (with drag brake) and 320a

Cause the ones I tried in the past annoyed the hell out of me(that claimed no brake) as to go to reverse you had to go forward if you went too far back on the stick it would brake, and you had to be at idle like 1-2 secs to get reverse.

Sure can...only time it apples the brake is in neutral....
I know there is no mention if them having drag brakes but trust me they do... I've brought two from different sellers and both have it. some sellers mention it some don't.
Because its a dual motor ESC All I did with mine was cut the wires off for the second motor... And for low current applications u don't need the fan so it could be removed as well.... I left mine on for the cool factor. Lol

hmm I'll have to get 2 to try as they are only $13.50 each shipped to the US
This should be interesting as I will have to have 4-5 ESC's hooked up at once (turret left right, barrel up down, and fire mechanism) which won't be that big of an issue as I have the other ESC's I tried sitting around

it does seem odd to me that traxxas has not tried to get back into the 1/5 game.
sure, it is not as large a market, but traxxas certainly has tried to get there hands into every major area of rc there is. even re-branding helis now.
Heck, if lowly redcat can sell a decent 1/5 why cant traxxas? All they have to do is lengthen the stampede VXL and put a 1/5 body and big tires on it

I take these 2 over the traxxas

I have often wondered why even some of the 1/5 makers don't have 1/5 rally cars? I can assume maybe there is just a better market for offroad buggies and trucks, but 1/5 rally cars look sweet. Ive seen the older redcat 1/5 rally cars (subby body) up on ebay a few times, but never had the money to try and get one.
I personally want to see more 1/5 electric models. anything 30'' long going 30-40mph is just awesome and handles very different from 1/10 and 1/8 models.

Well considering traxxas has a history of using other brands electrical equipment (Novak and Castle)
I don't see why they couldn't release something with a CY 26cc.... and because they love Wild West themed names (bandit, stampede, rustler) they could call it the traxxas Desperato.... Cus it would desperately try to keep up with the competition.
fyi, Losi make a 1/5 rally car with electronic fuel injection...

I had a traxxas monster buggy that I bought new in the late 90s. I was less than impressed with how delicate the front suspension looked. I actually sold it before I ever fired it up.
Personally, if traxxas were to re-release, I would like to see the fiero and sledgehammer.

The advertisement video has so many slo-mo shots that it doesn't look like it would go 35mph! I think they screwed that one up on dragging innocent beginning hobbiests into their store to purchase their crap. So many better choices,...

I know what u meant right... Traxxas started the whole RTR vehicles..
In the early 90 they did have some awesome kits... Like the SRT, even on today's standards it's a great car. And if u look at the current 2wd lineup u can see traces of the SRT.
imagine if they re released the SRT with all the modern trimmings. Most of the rustler upgrades are compatible so they could release a platnium version with, wider rustler suspension (to ge it was wide as the current gen stadium trucks), GTR shocks, alloy castor blocks, alloy rear upright, alloy turnbuckles, and alloy bellcranks.... I think it would be cool, I've allways the SRT because of the way it comes with a ball diff stock. And we all know how much the stock traxxas gear diff sucks, sure its durable but its allso way to loose .
I mean how how cool does this look for a old traxxas.
