Default Chipped Wheels?

Is there a way to get all the fake chrome off a wheel by using a cleaning material or something? My wheels are chipped all over and I want to just get the rest off. [

i found a site that someone took all the chrome off the wheels and then dyed them blue. Paint-thinner would probable take it off, just leave it in there for about 20 minutes and it should wipe off

If i used paint thinner, could I leave the tires on as I do it? Would it take the tire glue off?

my guess is it would eat up the glue too...also... it would probably seep in and saturate the foam ...that'd be a mess![&:]
