RE: Reorganizing the car forums- your input needed
TWEETY!!!!
You snatched my body!!
I have that type set-up as well but, I bet mines better then yours.
As for the forums, I like them how they are but, a few areas could be thinned out a bit by making a new section or two. For example; A NIB section as well as an advanced section. For those who don't understand.........
Nib section will be mainly aimed at new comers will simple repeatly answered questions.
Advanced section will be for people who have been in the hobby and understand the basics.

i think there should be seperate forums for onroad and offroad and another whole section for engines with sub forums for nitro and gas, then for their application.

I think we need an "off-topic" thread where you can talk about anything such as news, sports, jokes, funny stories or anything like that. It will give people something to do when theirs nothing else to do, and it will also un-pollute some of the other forums. Most of the other forum sites I've seen has them, and everybody seems to like them

Do you mean like "RC Humor" and "The Clubhouse"?

I think he meens smothing like the club and humor but that has nothing at all to do with R/C stuff so you can talk about the weather or what ever without geting the thread deleted and people geting mad .

This is an "R/C" forum with "R/C" sponsors. As many websites as there are on the web, there are probably lots of "other" websites that deal more specifically with "other" topics and can be discussed on those forums. If not, there is also private messenger, instant messenger, the telephone and so on. Try not to misunderstand me since most of "us" probably get off topic at times or some how connect something non-R/C related to R/C, but eventually the discussion returns to R/C and if it doesn't, the moderators are there to moderate the forums. Many times, R/C company representatives visit these forums and/or are members of these forums. There purpose is probably to gain feedback regarding R/C products and to read what RC consumers want. In addition, if they help sponsor the forums or are thinking about sponsoring the forums, they probably don't want to read "other" posts about non-related R/C since they are probably "in" it for the return--monetary return.
By the way, I don't really care what the others said about your avatar. The bear is cute. It's not a Pooh Bear, but your bear would probably keep Pooh Bear cuddly. That is if "she" didn't eat all Pooh's honey and wreck his R/C car. And back to R/C--that was my simple example if going off topic and returning to R/C.

Hmm reorganizing eh? Well since we already started our own OFFICIAL XXXXXX THREAD (x= model), can ya yank in some more manufacture support teams besides CEN? Some of the XTM and Duratrax guys might appreciate it a lot.

how about a "slit eachother's throats" forum where all the bashers can stay out of the truck forums and fight there.

Something i was thinking about yesterday when looking at the forums is why is there a nitro onroad forum and no electric onroad forum? Shouldnt it just be a general onroad forum?

Too many forums makes it hard to find info/get questions answered because it takes too much time to go poke around in all the different forums. Also that leads to redundant posts in different forums. I would suggest streamling the cars forum would enhance the sites user friendlyness[8D]
