Hey, can you post what you paid for all those parts, and what mods (if any) were needed to fit this into a Smartech?
That would be awesome! Did you get this stuff from eBay, or where?

well the aluminum c-hubs i got from rc-mart for $10 they are from an rs4 3. gpm brand.

the knuckles, and bearings I had from my hpi MT because I replaced those plastic pieces with aluminum. the drive cups from the mt are much stronger. those are all stock parts from the MT. the two ball bearings that meet the wheel are 5x11x4mm. on the inside they are
10x15x4mm. the drive cups are part number A549 5x40 mm axle.

The only fabricating I needed to do was to cut 3/16 alluminum tubing and use it as spacers between the hinge pin on supsension arms and c-hubs.

the axle sticks out a bit far but I also used MT hexes and they are much thicker. so when torqued down they sit flush. this was a cheap mod for me because i had these spare parts on hand.

I have the stock shocks for the winner sport and I broke the top shock cap.
can anyone suggest a replacement part off of another car. The only part number
that I can find is just for the whole entire shock assembly not just the cap. All I really need is the
cap so if one will fit from another car please let me know....
I do not know
how to make the duratrax evader shocks work in the front the lower hole is too small and does not
allow the screw to fit through. should I just use a smaller screw and tap another hole?
Any ideas would be great....

unscrew your front shock tower and raise it. the shocks should fit now.

the orig suspension uses a self tapper to screw in at the bottom but the duratrax uses a bolt type thread (I think, unless my is different) Anyway all you do is push hard on the screwdriver whilst you screw it in :P it will make the hole bigger but the screw doesnt tighten but it doesnt matter because it doesnt fall out.

Hey banx, sweet mod! Im gonna do that! hehe nice shell aswell.

Hi, I am new, I have taken the Smartech Winner 3, however it has 1 speeds.
I have bought the kit for the second inclusive speed the pinion, I have gotten off him and I don't know I have climbed on him well or I have put us everything, I would not like to make damages to the gear. On my manual of the car reference is made to the gear to a speed the code of the produced smartech it is: [link=http://www.smartechracing.com/web_2006/product/cars/10341/main.php]10341[/link], looking on the site of the smartech there is already a model to two speeds code [link=http://www.smartechracing.com/web_2006/product/cars/10343/main.php]10343[/link] for case you have the manual? It would go only also well me an exploded of the gear or a squirt made to correct hand understand I have reassembled him well. Does to end, have to also perform some regulation on the gear?
Help I beg you to me.
I am Italian

Ok everyone, it's me again, the only owner in the world with a Smartech Vanguard Sports. Here is my latest creation, please let me know what you all think. The body is by Himoto, rims are Romulins and the tires are recycled T-Maxx. Power plant is supplied by SureFire, Monster .32.

Rough guess, 50+ mph. At least that was what it did prior to the trick out. I figure I would lose a few mph due to the bigger tires. The mod also added a couple extra pounds, hehe! It is raining on and off here so I have not been able to get a good run in. Just finished it last night. Here is what it looked like before the monster mod.

Thanks, I wanted to make one of my RCs into something outrageous. I figured the Smartech was the best suited for the job. The large engine made for a better choice. The Vanguard is a nice car, just hard to find parts for. (Stock) It is a good starter 1/8 class buggy, you can get one on the Internet for under $300.00. Compared to the other makers of 1/8s, that is a killer price. If you look hard enough, you will find that Inferno, Himoto and Mayhem parts all seem to fit with little to no mods. Still have the stock radio and steering servo, which is hard to believe. Parts will break on the first run almost guaranteed![&:]

Ok, this is for all you Speedy Tiger owners. I have this mystery buggy and for some reason the guy I got it from referred me to a seller on ebay. The only thing he sells is Speedy Tiger parts. My question is, aside from the engine, do these pictures look like a Speedy Tiger knock off? If you need more detailed pictures let me know. Need to order parts already. Thanks.
