the tranny should just drop right in if the gearing is still the same. you should check though. make sure the gears mesh nicely.

i made myself a fail safe out of rubberbands. when i loose signal the rubber bands pull my servo to brake, and it dosent seem to affect the preformance otherwise. i tested it by giving the car full throttle "without the motor running" and then shutting off the transmitter. it returned to brake. the rubberbands go from the servo horn to the rear body mount. tell me what you think.

renatomarin81, some guy has a buggy on youtube that he calls lil blue. is that you? for tires go to your lhs, and just try other brands out. something is bound to fit. my rims are like yours, but mine are plastic, but i haven't needed tires yet. plus i think you can buy tires from excel hobby made by smartech, but there the same as what you got.

has any one broken knuckle arms? i haven't yet, but they look vulnerable, and flimsy. if so when you buy them do you get 1 or 2? what steering parts do you guys break most often? i usually just bend those little rods, but my vice fixes that nicely. i read that people have a problem with breaking fuel tanks. is that true? can a hpi or losi or another brand tank fit? i bet with a few new holes in the pan about any tank will fit.

Hello. I just aquired a new speedmaster VH-X5 (smartech) from ebay. Got it brandnew for 130.00 dollars. Well anyways, it came in today. My question is, before my first run should I do anything to it? IE lube the differentials, gears, ect so they will last longer? This is my second nitro powered vehicle. So I know what Im doing.. kinda.. My first being a kyosho ultima st. Thanks.

Josh

If you pull the pull starter and the wheels spin, then you're clutch is melted, as rcmaster said.
