I saw a reference to these on another forum. They look pretty neat; and more importantly, quite functional.

I know about the ballon trick, but where does one find these "shock socks"?

Nice site... my wallet is cringing already.

I tried the sox for shox and didnt like the at all.I used them on an 1/8 scale and they bound the springs when going over a jump and made the car launch erratic.They sure lok cool tho...

they could acheive the same result without binding the springs. there must be a way to make them fit t-maxx shocks

Yeah but those only protect the shaft...

The others protect the shock body from scuffing as well

but if the sock is causing the springs to bind slightly then i would assume they are pushing them into the shock body as well. that would also create rub marks on the bodies. only you wouldn't see them till the sock came off. pluss your hiding your nice aluminum shocks that you already paid to much for i'm sure

the shaft and place where the shaft slides in and out of the body are the only places you really need to keep the dirt out of for smooth action. nothing actually slides up and down the body. sounds like you would need a sock for the inside of the spring to protect the way you suggest.
