What types of car are you all running with what mods and how fast would you guess, I just want to compare my car and see what mods people have done/ are doing. Right now i have a xxx-s with a p2k pro and i think 28 tooth pinion, my top speed that i got from my Venom Speedo was 34.

personally i dont think ur venom is callibrated right cuz no way will a stock do that speed on that pinion, for a start a stock revs to about 23000rpm which aint enough, whereas my 19spec v2 vantage revs to about 30000rpm+ runnin a 33tooth pinion i got 36mph out of my tc3 and with a 35tooth pinion on a top speed caculator my tc3 will do 40mph

nah i dont think it hits 27mph standard the tc3 does only 20standard so a xxx-s aint gonna go no faster, probably slower even being belt driven

My XXX-S is all Stock and Hits 27 mph when it refreshed, cleaned, etc..

My P2k Pro revs at 27k rpms and 86 tooth belt gear, and around a 24 tooth pinion. We calibrated it today and i consistantly get around 30-34. Why wouldn't it be able to go that fast? Also i can race cars going down the street and catch them from a dead stop. Nobody in my neighborhood goes 25 they go more like 30 and i catch them.............

When you're comparing motor rpm, be careful what you read (or at least be sure you read all the specs). A lot of motors are rated at 5v, which would not be a fair comparison to a motor rated at 7.2 or 8.4 volts.
Also, if you're putting numbers in a speed calculator, I don't think you can really brag about how fast your car goes -- lots of factors missing there, and they're all factors that slow you down.
A p2k pro is rated at 30,600rpm @ 7.2volts

no stock motor pulls 27k rpm, it just doesnt happen, if it does youd be seeling your secrets to reedy or trinity. and i cant think of any car out there that will pull 34 mph with a stock motor unless your pushing it with another car that has a 14t in it!!!! 10t motors geared properly for racing will run 40-43 range in a tc3, night and day difference between that and a stock motor.
i hate when people lie, then convince themselves there tellin the truth.
and cossie, wered you get your v2 vantage 19t, team orion claims they havnt been released yet??

I never dyno'd a p2k... 30,600rpm is what Trinity states on their site.
Don't get me wrong - I'm not a p2k fan. It's not even my second (or third) choice for a stock motor...
Only spoke up because folks need to learn to read all the specs and put them into perspective. And the folks that seem to make up whatever comes to mind because it sounds good really drive me nuts.

i dont know much about gas cars but that still sounds a little fast. i know speedos can be off by as much as 15% once you reach 55mph, i would imagine even the venom would become less accurate at those speeds. but what do i know anyway?
trinity specs???

with my venom speed meter my cen mt2 with proline tires top speed 43mph...
my rustler with 10tx2 trinity and 7 cells est around 35mph...
comparing against cen in parking lot....with proper gearing might hit 40mph,
can't keep front wheels on ground so acceleration is a problem...
I like speed as much as the next guy, but really unless your running a touring car, who
cares... can't run either truck close to top speeds

odawg, I've been on your side here...
My question is this - you show a chart of motors and rpm -- what voltage are those rpm achieved at, are they dyno'd at 'no load', or under load? Either of those questions makes a huge difference in final rpm, not to mention the state of tune of the actual motor in your specific car.
I'm not trying to argue, but seriously - that chart is nothing more than a relative comparison between their various motors - not a true spec sheet on any specific one.
