What are all of the ways of breaking in an engine? I have heard of the "books way" (and still dont know what that means). Please help me out with all of the ways to break in an engine. Thanks for your help.

there are sevral different ways depends on who you talk to the way i do it is thus;
adjust to factory settings(what the manual for motor said) the richen that up about an 1/8 turn yes it will be wayyyy fat(rich) but i think the motor needs it at first it will be hard to keep running so do it on a bench that way you can work throttle by hand be carefull not to over rev this can damage motor,run a tank through that way,then lean it out about a 1/8 turn then run sllllooooww circles for two tanks then start leaning it down to where it starts to over heat,a trained ear can detect this or a temp probe(my way is both) and when it starts over heating fatten it up a 1/8 turn that way you are a little rich but your motor is getting plenty of lube!
