I doubt that servos will drive it since a. they are really slow and to drive it anywhere will take forever and b. servos are only meant to go a certain angle (like spin 90* in each direction) but can not perform a full rotation

no

- my brother has made robots that use the servos to propell the wheels - the servos are special - full rotational ones. and you can buy fast and high torque servos.

these r speical servos their is no petionimeter or limiter from what i understand that is what is used in robot war machines i have a tank tread kit on order for buildin an m1 abrams that has the speical servos like in pic but are pre wired for an rc reciver

this is an old robie jr that has a lost remote i want to get running as a mobil missle launcher to go wit my tank i know it will work i just need to know if i need the 3rd wire for my reciver to run it or if i just need 2 since i really dont need a sensor wire (no petionimeter)and if i do where would i connect it to

for bolth im using tamiya staic model kits as body parts

ps using same setup as this to actualy launch rocket remotley also plan on turret being functional (example /up/down/left/right movment)

i have no brob with limits either i have a 8 channel reciver and remote

you should mount real rockets on to it. MAy I reccomend estes rockets? get some tiny little ones paint em to look like missiles and then stick in a size a engine and foom! I am tempted to buy a mini heli and attach one to the bottom with a release mechanzim and a starter system! lol

yes you do need the signal wire. servos are stepper motors, they require a signal to tell them to move and how fast... as far as the limited rotation, it is EASY to modify any regular servo for unlimited rotation, takes about 5 minutes counting the time to take it apart and put it back together.

theese r not servos thougt they where but on dissasamble found 380 motors

if u use my reciver can i just plug + - in on a futaba conector to each motor and plug into my reciver so i can have ind controll over each motor (using ch 1 fr one motor ch 2 for other ) i dont expect too much speed just need to make this thing move

so i can start on the turret and rocket ingintors
