ok guys i have a nitro evader and the chassis is really really scratched up. IS there a way i can get all the blue annodizing off other than sanding it which i really do not want to do. Is there a solution that u can let it soak in so the annodizing leaks of the metal. CHEERS

i heard somewhere that simple green will eat the coating off if you let the chassis soak in it.

Heat it up in hot water and hit it with ove EZ off. Takes it right off. simple green won't even faze it.

I agree EZ-Off works much quicker, the only problem is once you take off the anodizing you will be left with a dark ugly looking chassis that is soft aluminum. You can polish it to make it shiny or re-anodize it. Without anodizing the aluminum is not protected and will ding up and scratch which will be ok for awhile but it will bother you eventually.....

I've tried all kinds of chemicals to do this. Even heavy duty automotive strippers, the kind that will remove thick paint off a car in seconds, would not remove any anodizing off, even left overnight.

I couldn't find that greased lightning stuff anyhwere so i couldnt give it a try.

Oven cleaner does work though. Problem is, if you leave it on too long it leaves a nasty hard residue all over that you have to sand off, but if you don't leave it long enough, it doesnt get all the anodizing.

and after you are done, be prepared to do some light sanding and polishing. Mag polish works quite nice.

You would want to use it afterwards to polish the aluminum nicely.
