The RC10GT is the best truck out there. Don't go with the duratrax evader!!!!. They are cheap. U might check ebay for some RTR's. If u want cheaper, go with the electric version, the T3. Great truck and u don't have to mess with a nitro engine for 30min, just to play with the darn thing. Charge the battery and plug it in. They can go as fast a some nitro's, with a good Mod motor.

Depends on the truck that you buy. Maybe 20 to 30 mph. I have an EMaxx E = electric and it looks to be hitting around 30 tops. It has a two speed tranny so that helps with the top speed..
Electrics are "plug and play". Plug in your batteries and go play.
Nitros are....fill up the tank with fuel....make sure your carb settings are correct for proper operation....then go play. If you run off-road and get into dirt (no kidding sherlock) then you'll need to do some cleaning after wards. Electrics you can pretty much blow off with an air compressor and have them clean whereas nitros will leave exhaust residue on your rig so there will be more to cleaning it up after wards.
Good Luck!

I agree with }{unter. Nitro's are allot of fun. There's something about a car/truck that screams by you making an awesome sound that gives you the feeling of it's power. Electrics don't really do that for me. However, I do own both and have fun with both.....but I am more drawn to the nitro's than the electrics. I always flew airplanes with nitro and not electrics and enjoyed the sound of the engine as they whizzed by. It all depends on what you prefer. RC is ALL GOOD!
Go have some fun!

Put some fuel in the sucker and run!
batteries are for the TX & Rx . Thats it.

Not going to race then get the Traxxas Nitro Rustler 2.5.
They are RTR and sell for about $450.00 Canadian at our LHS. They are more durable than some of the racing trucks and require less maintenance having a gear diff. instead of a ball diff. Traxxas is claiming 47mph top speed with the new engine which is 10mph faster than most of the competition and it has electric start included.
We have both the Nitro Rustler and RC 10 GT.
