just ordered my third R/C in a year
well i've done it again. i've just odered my third r/c in less than a year, this hobby is too addicting. i started off last december with my hpi mt2, then 5 months later in may i got a monster gt 4.6. now.... i just ordered a hyper 7 tq sport along with hyper 8 stock rims, hyper 8 wing and jconcepts illuzion body. i know, i coulda got a hyper 8 cuz it's like a hyper 7 but way better, i heard it all before. but i couldn't pass up the tq sport kit for 195 bucks shipped on ace hardware hobbies, that's a good deal considering that kit is over 200 bucks on sites. besides, it fit my budget perfectly. i can't wait to get it, hopefull it'll come friday. said 2-5 business days to ship. best part is, my b-day is this saturday so i'm pretty happy. i just placed my order about 45 mins ago, that was 2:15 am milwaukee time. my girlfriend has also been bitten by the rc bug. she plans on getting an ofna ultra lx comp next week thursday. my fleet is growing! i dont think i'll buy another r/c for about another 6 months now. next year i'll probably get a losi 8 truggy.

smiff you're right, before 6 months i'll probably have another rc added to the fleet. just like with my monster gt, i didn't plan on getting that till around this time. nope, got it in may instead. then i thought about it.... i need an 1/8th scale buggy. a truggy is coming next, i just know it. i give my self till about february. yeah, i'm trying to get my gf to know enough to where she can be the pit person when i go to races next year. i'm already her automatic personal mechanic till she knows whats what. then i can ask her to fix mine. i can get done wrenching twice as fast with two people.

I am just as bad as you are, except I swear I will not buy another RC for at least 2 years. I am seriously done. I spent over $4 grand this year on RCs and I started neglecting other stuff like house stuff. So I am officially done. Plus my girlfriend will probably dump me if I buy any more RC stuff haha.
I did end up with some pretty cool stuff . A BJ4WE, losi XXX4G+, TLT1 w/ bender SW2, ex-10 helios w/ spektrum and all the do-dads, and so on and so forth, lipos, 2 duratrax ice chargers *gloat*, 5 battery packs at $60 a piece, fab tools for my rock crawler, ahhhhhhh

I'm not quite as bad as you(this year, anyway). This year, I only bought the Frog, a cheap Tx to control it, a new Stampede XL-5, and a bunch of hop-up parts for those two and my MGT. Over the past five years though, I've accumulated about 15 planes, a heli, the aforementioned 3 cars, plus an old HPI rally I revived, an RC18MT I gave away, an RC10GT I sold, a Suzuki motorcycle, and a convertible Mustang. Somehow, my wife hasn't killed my for all of this......yet. I hate to think what that money'd be worth now if I sunk it in stocks/bonds instead of hobbies.

yeah, i've got quite a bit of money sunk into this hobby now. but if i was still working on my full size car, it would probably be a lot more money gone. this hobby is just beginning for me, i'll probably get a heli in the future. in fact, i know i will, that and a nitro powered boat. i go fishing alot, so if it stops out in the lake some where, i can always cruise out in the boat to get it.

ha. i know the feeling. started off the year with the ofna jammin crt, then got the ofna gpx4, now i just bought a hotbodies cyclone. the only things i'm missing are a mini-cooper, 1/8th scale onroad (SERPENT!), 1/12th scale onroad (calandra/CRC), and a LUNCHBOX!
...um- might as well get an 1/8th scale offroad buggy while i'm making my wishlist.
