I think my favorite now is the hobbico elite since I went to lipo, but that dig piranha is good and so is the 977 mrc for doing nimh in a hurry.

I use a Dynamite Vision Peak 2, I"ve had it for just about a year now with no problems and still charges like the day I bought it, great charger.

Default RE: chargers

I have a duratrax ICE which I use for everything
Then if I am charging dual packs for my emaxx I'll use my first charger, an MRC 959
Then I accidentially received a Duratrax digital pulse in a tower shipment so I have that one too.

They are all great chargers! The internal powersupply on my MRC burnt out so I need to use it with an external PS but it burnt out while I wasn't watching it and it wasn't receiving adequet cooling so it was not the charger's fault. The MRC seems to be the best deal in the sub $50 peak charger market since it can charge up to 4.5 amps which the pirhana digital can't do (only up to 3 amps on AC power)

thanks for the imput guys!

One more question! What would be better: the Duratrax Digital Peak, or the MRC 959?

I use the Triton 1. It is a very good charger for the price. They recently came out with the Triton 2. I'd definitely recommend it.

I use the same one for my TX and RX batteries as well with no problems.
The only reason I do not use it for my TX batteries is I have Rayovac 15 minutes that have a special charger that charge in 15 minutes. But I use it for all my other batteries including my receiver packs.

I find feature wise the MRC 959 wins, but I've heard of other people having problems with it too. It seems to overheat a lot since there is no internal fan. I would buy the Digital, though the features are less than that of the 959, it has a good reputation, and is also quite a nice charger.
