I'm going to try to work on mine tomorrow for a little bit since it is supposed to be nice out. I have two jumps in for the first triple. I would like to put in a jump up table top and a couple sets of triples and doubles, I haven't decided yet exactly on the layout yet. I was just going to do a small track but I have a funny feeling it is going to end up taking up about a 1/2 acre LOL.

You guys are lucky. All I have is some 8 x 8 ft space. I asked my dad for 1/2 the yard and he said no. But I said it would be less to mow, he still didn't like the idea. But If I had the space, I would want it to be like a motocross track. Triples and big flat jumps. I like the jumps where you go high and far, but land on a smooth down ramp. Then Of course a table-top, some woops for sure. And then a very technical section. Meaning that if you don't get the jumps right, you will get very messed up. It does doubles and triples for a while, but at the end theres a jump that launches you high, but not very far. And then theres a nice big smooth down ramp. I get a lot of my ideas from watching motocross racing, watching offroad rc racing, and me riding on my dirtbike. THere also has to be a straight away some where too. Also dips and drops are cool. Like you go up a ramp, and then land on something about 5ft off the ground, then keep going and and jump off and land on another down ramp. My track is kind of like this. But If I had a big space, at least like 30 x 30ft, then I would have my track somewhat like this.

You guys should put a jump on one side of the debris in pic. 4, so if you don't make it you're screwed.

LMFAO....that's good dude!

Actually, the debris is what showed up the other afternoon when the tornado came by! Luckily, that's all the damage we incurred. Some folks just a few miles from here weren't so lucky.

It was all cleaned up by lunchtime the next day, and the track is back to normal.

I promise, better pics coming.

Here are some photos of the track I am making in my garden. The first two photos are of the land I have available, the next one is a plan of the track, and the last one is what I have done so far. You may notice that the track has a rough texture; this is to make it more challenging. I will be using 1/8 Scale Nitro Monster Trucks, including the HPI Savage on it. I have also recently completed a driver's stand, but I don't have any pictures of it right now. I hope to have the track finished by late March, since I am only 12 years old.

For more information, please visit the official thread for my track, linked below. Since I have changed ideas a number of times since I started the thread, some of the information at the beginning may be invalid.

Does anyone have any good tips for keeping grass from growing on your track. I think I am going to start building one early spring. I have seen a few guys build some pretty nice tracks, and within a few weeks it's like a jungle, and you can't get the grass and weeds off of it where you've moved around the dirt. I definately don't want that to happen. Where we are building there isn't alot of grass now, the ground is mostly clay and shale. We don't want to have to buy and try to work with clay though.
