I would like to know if I can add a bit of Prolong engine treatment in my 15 engine...just like would add after run oil?
this might help with temperatures and lubrication.
I found the following on the prolong.com website...
Q: Can Prolong Engine Treatment be used in a 2-cycle motor?
A: Yes, add the engine treatment to the oil only, at 10% to the volume, then mix with gas. Use the same mixture for oil injection systems.
this might help with temperatures and lubrication.

dont add anything like that to your fuel since its not designed for a nitro engine, sure its a 2 stroke but nitro 2 strokes are vastly different from gas 2 strokes, what fuel are you running now> anyhing over 14% oil wont really help you much, the best thing to get would be castor oil, best lube you can get for your engine, also the way you maintain your engine can prolong its life, run a good fuel filter, always keep the air filter clean and oiled, sue good fuel, ect

i'm running 25% nitro....i dont know what the caster oil content is though....
i just thought that because prolong bonds to the metal surfaces on a molecular level providing a micro barrier between surfaces that has friction like the piston and the piston sleeve....thus reducing the friction because the parts arent really rubbing agains each other...this might reduce the temperature....
my main concern is temperature on my car....I live in sout africa where the temps to 33 degrees celcius in the summer...and it's summer right now...so i'm really struggling with high temps on my car at the mopment...
i have richened the fuel/air mixture but then the performance suffers a lot and performance is not what it can be.....
any help / tips will be greatly appreciated.
also any suggestion on any upgrade parts i can use to help cool my engine as I'm using the stock HPI RS4 EVO 3
and any weight reductions i can look at?

Another thing people do is get a bigger or "over sized" cooling head. The only issue with that is making sure you buy one that fits correctly, and they can be kind of costly, $35 us would be the cheapest but i've seen some for $85 retail.
On the upgrade question, i would get a carbon or alum battery tray. that would save a good amout of weight.
Or your could just sell the engine. it seems like they are being more and more people saying how bad that engine is. I loved my 12Rss b4 i messed up the heat sink (colling head whatever)& piston/sleve. so i got a OS. 18 tz/tx fits perfect but have to adjust my car for the power. hope this help some

go to your pharmacy and get some 100% pure castor oil and add it to your fuel, also, make sure you have a windsheild cutout and a cutout behind the engine, also cut the windows out and possibly get a better cooling head, the first 2 should help alot

will adding caster oil help with temperatures on the cars? as fasr as I understand, caster oil is just for lubrication and the nitro's is what cools the engine....
i have cutout the one half of my windscreen in fron of the engine, the window on the side of the engine and behind the engine......

if nitro keeps it cool then what is oil for??? oil provides lubrication which lowers driction which causes heat, that is why we use any oil in our fuels, adding castor oil should help bring the temp down
