I just put a XTM 457 in my MGT, I have it running and still tuning.I am lost now, I can slowly give throttle and hold it half way and it's smooth and hauls, but if I go full throttle it bogs really bad, what do I need to adjust and should I lean or richen.......

what type of fuel are you using? car engines don't like allot of oil, it drastically hinders throttle transition, airplane fuel has a good bit more oil then car fuel, and heli fuel allot more.
also on the lean/rich issue, check the temp of the engine, if it's hot, you're most likely lean.

Temp. was 240 and I am running the Sidewinder Backyard bash, I went today and bought some Trinity monster power for my break in on the Losi Muggy.I may change everything to that if I like it....

you're most likely rich on the high speed, when you lean it out, you may find you need to richen the low speed needle a bit and it'll be a combination of tweaking both to get it where you want it.

You are allready to lean if its bogging on the high end like that. Richen it up

being he's from the states i assumed he is using F not C on his post so 240 is not hot, nominal head temp is 300-350 F for max performance.

Ok,well i dont let mine get above 250 i usually run around 180-230temp so i assumed it was hot and still do but ok good luck.

yeah but you're different then the rest of the normal world in that you also crashed an Extra 300 at your quoted 100+ mph spinner first and had no damage at all to the spinner or the engine........things must work allot different in Louisiana then they do elsewhere

It is not an uneducated guess. Max temp on a nitro is 250 to 290 at the most. If he is allready at 240 and bogging out, he is to lean. The reason he is not getting higher temps is the motor is bogging out before it gets to rev real high. If his temps were around 150 and this was happening, I would tell him to lean it out then.
