Default Please Identify this chassis

Saw this from craigslist, seller is blocks away from me and sold it to me for $15 and threw in a large scale servo (not for that chassis)

Has 17mm hubs like OFNAs, 4wd, CVD in front, and dogbones in rear. Lots of aluminum parts.

What is it???

Thanks in advance

Looks like a early truggy-I can see where the center diff and engine would have been

Maybe an Ofna SST or blazer chassis, or an old kyosho burns or inferno chassis.

Truggy????? That chassis is much older than the truggy phenomenon.

I believe it is an old Pirate (no relation to the Pirate 10 series of vehicles), that was imported in the US in the '80s by OFNA. It's a 1/8 buggy.

Anymore guesses, unfortunatley I dont believe its any of those metioned. I have search all of those and they have only some similarities but nothing exactly the same. Also when search for an old Pirate, OFNA's and Ho Bao's are the ones showing up.

I guess, this would be parted out for scrap parts.

Thanks again for the input!

The diffs are actually in good working order, its just a little rusty on the steel metal parts, but not that deep, it can still be cleaned with wd40 and a wire brush attachment on a dremmel.

The only thing that I see difficult to figure out is that why is the diffs not center aligned. As mentioned in previous post there is an offset. I coundnt find anything like this on any of the models that were mentioned by other members.

I think that is the key feature of this model that is unique that could lead us to its identity.

i8tweety, you are right!

How did you see that?

Well I decided that I will clean it up and the first thing I removed was the bumper, then there it was. It says PIRATE on both diffs.

Found another one for sale in ebay.

Thanks again for all the input.

Magic.

Actually I meant that stamped rectangle under the diff input cup in the 5th pic.
