The Revo has these silly little linkages and suspension parts that can break. useless for bashing. I've had my savage for about 3 years and now is when I had t rebuild the rear tranny. Now my jato on the other hand....

I have had both, have you? If not don't talk about it anymore. There's a big difference in running with some every now and then and actually having lots of hands on experience with both.
The Savage is a average truck to me, i had lots of trouble with it and for that reason got rid of it. My Revo i have put through just as much if not more and have had more fun with NO problems. Thats my hands on experience, not a biased opinion.
YAh i've had both! Sold me Revo to a buddy a couple weeks after i bought it to buy my GST. He still lets me drive it whenever i want. So i think i can talk about it all i please. If the Svage is average then a revo is average, their is nothing superior about the revo over a savage sorry buddy your living in a dream world!

Savages are the most durable and will literally out bash any Traxxas. Stock and straight out of the box, the Savage is the toughest truck over Revo, Jato, and T-Maxx. You really have to do something stupid to break a Savage and buckle the TVPs (like ging full soeed into a tree or into a fixd hard object). Even then, the TVPs can be hammered back into shape, and even the batt box (even if its torn from the wreck) will still provide structraul support. The Traxxases unortunately would not fare that well. Bashwise, the Revo A-arms out right suck. All my friends dump the POS stock A-arms and get the RPMs. They are beefier and the palstic is very durable and even more precise to take out any sort of slop. On the track, the RPM arms render the Revo a durable racer.

I must admit that the Revo will spank the Savage in the handling department. Its light weight and low moment of inertia when taking turns make it an excellent racer. The Savage on the other hand requires extensive modificatins to become just a good a racer. For this, if I ever get into racing I would buy a Revo. Unfortunately, I hate TRX engines; if Traxxas were to make a Revo kit with no engine or electronics, I would so buy it and begin to race off road.

GST 7.7 is the best MT imo, it got the size, power and durability. Revo is also an amazing truck, its just a little small for my taste. Once i go big, i dont like to go back to smaller trucks. Driving a big/powerful wheelie on demand machine is simply more fun than driving a smaller truck that is good for nothing besides drag racing....

"Savage straight out of the box". please! you cant even run the savage out of the box you have to buy all the electric parts install them and then you could run it.

something you dont have to worry about the revo 3.3

and that GST 7.7 i wonder how fast you go thru 125cc of nitro 3 minutes ? or less ?

it just kills you with the $$ on nitro if it had a zenoah or another gasoline powered engine it will be the best in my opinion but 7.7 on nitro it will kill you with the money you have to spend in nitro youl spend as much as the truck in nitro if not more!

You know you can buy a Savage RTR...Its not necessary to buy the SS. The Revo is nice but it will not hang with the Savage on high ramp jumps, unless you have a pocket full of arms.

the savage non SS is even more junk than the SS + hpi plastic parts are worst than any other cheap brand!

on top of that savage ss makes 40+ and the revo makes 45+ out of the box!

Very well said. The GST dosen't use that much more nitro fuel either, i'm actually very impressed how long it runs on one tank of nitro fuel also.

No dream world here. Well, we all have our own opinions through experience on what we have driven. There is no use even wasting our time on this subject, cause none of us will ever get anywhere with it.

I bet my GST 7.7 would beat your revo in a drag race, i'll bet money on it! YES it used more fuel then a revo, look at the size of it for god sakes, who cares if you use a little more fuel.

Thats like saying i should have bought a Camaro, instead of owning my Dodge Viper because my Viper uses more fuel haha.

Show me where you can get for $500, does it include shipping? By the way, I think the revo is an overpriced little 10th scale anyways.

trial and error for both, usually the winner didn't make any mistakes, loser did, they are close.

E-Bay always has cheaper prices
$485.00 and no bids OR buy it now $500.00
http://cgi.ebay.com/CEN-RACING-GST-7...QQcmdZViewItem

$22.00 bucks for shipping. Like i said and if you took the time to search even more, or bid on some new auctions you can get it for a little cheaper, 485 is a great price though.
