Default The car starts going as soon as I start it.

I bought a Himoto Eldorada. After a while the loop in the end of the spring in the clutch broke, so I fixed it. It ran fine for a while and then broke again. I fixed it yet again. Now, the car has a really rough idle and starts going by itself as soon as I give it a little gas and doesn't stop. Sometimes it just starts going as soon as I start it. The spring in the clutch is fine. I have ordered a new clutch but was wondering if something else could be wrong. Any ideas what I need to do?

the thing that bothers me is that the spring is there now and it seems to be fine but it still acts like the spring is broken.

is the spring pushing the shoes toward the clutch bell or away from the clutch bell???
they should be tight up against the flywheel nut

Have you checked the trims yet?

Unless the idle is set ridiculously high it's a clutch problem, no doubt about it.

As well as the spring (which may have been weakened by you fixing it and now it can'y hold the shoes properly) check the shoes & the pins they sit on as well as the bearings. Anything wrong with one of these could be the cause of the problems you're having.

If i were you i'd replace the entire clutch with somehting better - cluches from *cheaper* models are notoriously bad (not trying to put the Himoto down here, but it's one of the ways they keep the cost down )

Where are the bearing there? sorry, I am a total noob. Could have I put in the clutch the wrong way? Can you tell by looking at the pics?

on your radio there should be little knobs
they are called trim
find the one called throttle
and turn it to the left
that should help

The clutch looks like it's in the right way around (with the shoes "trailing" around the point of rotation).

[link=http://images.google.com/images?hl=en&q=bearings&gbv=2]These[/link] are bearings, they allow the clutch bell to spin freely when the clutch isn't engaged. They may look slightly different, but they all do the same thing. Check that they spin freely and aren't jammed up or gritty...

yeah. I have replaced the clutch but haven't had a chance to start the car yet.
