Recommended Radio for my Tamiya Mercedes
Hello,
First of all I'm new this site and could not find anything on the Tamiya's 1/14 trucks.
ANyways, I have bought a Mercedes 1850L with the Multifunction kit and a Hitec Laser 6 FM 75mhz which I cannot get to work. There must be something wrong with the transmitter because the only two channels that work are 5 and 6 using a Hitec Supreme RCD3500-08RC 8 channel receiver. 1 through 4 do not do a thing. Whenever I turn the radio either before or after I turn the receiver on the servos go to the center position and don't move at all so that tells me that is sends signal I don't know why they won't work. I even tried a 72mhz transmitter from a walkera heli with the hitec crystal and the reciever worked!!!! It sound like the transmitter is messed up. Either way, where can I get a decent at least 4 channel radio system or at least a transmitter that will work with the mentioned receiver so I can get this truck to work. I have been looking on the internet for awhile now and still can't find a surface radio system that I can use with this truck,
THe receiver says negative shift for Hitec and FUtaba ( I dont know what that means) , is there a switch on that particular transmitter that will enable it work?
How can I change channels or even tune the receiver so it will work?
Thanks in advance,
Selby
