bush isnt saying were gonna take over iraq just force them to surrender and disarm and if he dies so be it you are all taking it like were just gonna blow iraq to the next year but theyre trying to keep casualitys down and have them surrender

The objective to the Gulf War was to liberate Kuwait. Anything outside of that was not authorized.

I know, my platoon was ready to move north, then was given the HALT command. My soldiers were pissed off and ready to do target practice on retreating Iraqis.

I told them I will court martial anyone who pulls a trigger after the HALT command. Someone must have loved me. Otherwise, I also would had became a target practice.

Command decision is command decision and when a military officer suggest, it's a direct order.
