i am thinking about my stock MG pipe again. Some one put a stock pede exhaust on theirs and it did not improve much due to small tube from the header to pipe.
So i was thinking instead of trying to find or make something fit, why not add another outlet to my stock set up.
It is a 3 piece unit now, center and 2 ends with a bolt n the center to join the caps to the main portion. One end has the pressure nipple and the other has the outlet. My thought is to take the pressure cap end and replace it with another out let end in turn allowing for more air flow going out. My issue from there is where to add a pressure nipple. I have a small one here that if i drill a hole i can add it. i just want to make sure i get enough pressure to it for the fuel pressure.
What do you think?
Here is a pic to get an idea of the stock. On the left had side is where i would put the other outlet cap.

you can modify your pipe.....just think though more AIR getting out more fuel needed....modifing the stinger will feel real powerfull on the take off but will also cause your engine to get a bit hotter,,,,richen up if you intend to modify the out let...
short pipe more top speed ,,,long pipe more top speed...
try a stock tmaxx pipe or something small like that ...

i thought i had an RD logics pipe set up to work but the header was about a .25" off and hit the rear body mount.
tuning wise, i figured i would have to go back to factory and possibly a bit richer on the HSN. CENs lsn spec is extremely rich and i have it about 1.75 tunrs in when they suggest 1 turn out. Pinch test proved that it was way off. Temps with stock are low 200 so i still have 40 degrees to play with.
Appreciate the help, i will have to give it a shot and let all know who have been wanting to get a better breathing pipe.

Is there no way you could mount a conventional tuned pipe down the side?Sorry just a thought really,i don't have this car nor have ever seen one.I presume the header has an oblong fitting?I've seen a header that would fit but maybe the car is too short to have a pipe down the side!?What size motor is it?

engine is a .15 or 2.5cc. No the wheel base is too short for side pipe. It would have to be around 3.5 inches to fit and i have not found any thing bu the CRT.5 pipe which is 4". I may try to pick one up for the right price and use the flex header i bought but for now if i can mod stock to work better, it would be a cheap great upgrade to share with other Mg16 owners who are looking also.
