Redcat Volcano and Amax Thwarter use the same parts??
I was thinking of getting either a Redcat Volcano or an Amax Thwarter. I could get the Amax a lot cheaper than the Volcano. So would the replacement parts for the Volcano work on the Thwarter?
Amax Thwarter http://cgi.ebay.com/NEW-UPGRADE-AMAX...QQcmdZViewItem
Redcat Volcano http://www.redcatracing.com/itemdeta...partno=VOLCANO
I trust these companies 100%, so please don't say anything bad about them.
Thanks for the help.

You haven't bought something yet??????
That's too funny...
Oh, and LOTS of people trusted Enron 100% to and that did not make them right or keep them from getting ripped of either...
But, as they say, whatever...

No I haven't bought one yet. I've decided I'm going to just get one for Christmas and save my money.

I would have thought with how long you've been saving and figuring out which RC to buy, that you would have saved enough to have a "wider array" of choices (see how I didn't badmouth your choices)

Don't take this wrong but I don't think anybody much cares.
You've been asking the same kinds of questions for a long time now and people, me included, don't think that you really listen to the answers. Kinda like the boy that "cried wolf", after you ask the same kinds of questions again and again w/o acting one the answers, people stop believing that answering the question matters.
I know that even if I knew that parts off one cheap vehicle would fit an even cheaper vehicle I would not believe that you would actually get either and that you'ld be back asking nearly the same question tomorrow or the next day.
Not trying to flame you, just explaining why I think it is that you're not getting any responses.
But that's just my opinion...

I do listen. I have researched these cars and they're higher quality than you think.

are you going to keep asking the question until you get the answer you like?
how exactly did you do your "research" to find out that these are "high quality"?
for a small amount of additional $$$, you can get a RC that you KNOW for sure will be good
why waste money on questionable products?

They can be bought in Hobby stores not only ebay.
Please let's not let this be a war. If you know they share the same parts, tell me.
Thanks.

Guys, check out the features of the 'Professional' Amax Thwarter.
BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!
Seriously dude, you don't want this car. What's wrong with something like this? http://cgi.ebay.com/OFNA-HYPER-7-PBS...QQcmdZViewItem
Front / rear differentials with good quality bevel gear as well as with 5 screws are quite easy for maintenance.

Front/rear umbrella gear differential and differential box with leak protection;
With 13.8g super-light-weight fly wheel, make the engine smaller in load;
Adrustable-bounce, make spring buffered ;
Differential with 5pcs of screw only, fixing/disasembling is easy;
The all-metal disc type brakes and super thick asbestos brake block;
Flexuose 6061/T6 aluminum chassis, thickness:2.5mm;
Aluminum alloy in 6061, Anodic heavy-duty adrustor;
Extra large 75cc leak proof fuel tank with overflow pipe and spring load fill cover for quick re-filling.
Eight oil filled shock absorbers provide excellent shock protection.
Pre-mounted 1/10th scale monster truck tires provide a long service period and are perfect for runing on any riough surface ground.
Double sponge filter, dustproof result is better. 7.5mm oversize gas vent;
56mm resonance

I'm sort of looking for something new. I just recently found this http://cgi.ebay.com/Traxxas-Nitro-Ru...ayphotohosting
and this http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll..._promot_widget
They could make good cars. But does anyone own these cars. Everyone says they're horrible but no one has one.

People say the rustler's a good start in nitro, but those links are not to cars, just chassis. That Hyper 7 I linked has only had 1 gallon through it, and it looks new. It's being sold by someone who says they aren't into the hobby, so it's bound to be completely stock. Looks like a bargain to me.

HMMM......well I've already got a nitro. A Cen CT5. I'm more or less just looking for something cheap for grass and such. I have heard from many people that the redcats are good. And not as cheap as people say.

Most of the people on the redcat forums have A LOT of redcat's. Why would they buy them if they were bad?

RE: Redcat Volcano and Amax Thwarter use the same parts??
redcats are a very decent car for the money and the 1/8ths are killer cars, i own many of them and have no problem with them, i also own many other brands of cars such as hpi, traxxas, kyosho and tamiya just to name a few, check out my gallery.
Hey foxy, do you or have you ever owned a Redcat racing vehicle?
