Theyre in the same league as far as quality is concerned if you ask me - and thats not to say that they are bad. They aren't Associated or Losi, but they're definitely not bad vehicles. RCU seems to have some mild form of a Redcat cult though, so its hard to get an accurate picture. I own a redcat vehicle among many others, and they're decent.

Were a cult now? Sweet!.. I heard we were mean/crazy and would defend the Redcat name to the death ( or banned ) if bashed/

Is it worth the extra $$$ to go with the pro versions of the redcat?? or should the 1/8 th razor be a better buy..I noticed that the tornado bb pro comes with a slew of upgrades and a fm transmitter but is all that worth it...

Well pro versions are usually a better buy and more cash, but even the basic models are great. But its all up to you man!

Frankly, I feel that redcat is only worth it at the really low price points. If you are going to spend $300+ on a new car, you might as well get a high quality one from another company. If you only have $99 or $150 to spend, then you're better off with a redcat than some ebay special.

Hurricane Xp is very high quality.. you could put it beside another 1/8th "brand name" buggy and not much of a difference, And I would spend $300+ on another Redcat, and wouldn't even think about looking at others. I think their of very great quality and deserve a respected name.
