I still think you should get that brushless. Just to mess arround with when you don't feel like nitros..

If i had the money, I would buy a nitro.

The exhaust from the top fuel and funny cars is pretty potent, now they are using 90% nitro, instead of last year's 85%. When they do startup, the pitcrew working on the cars wear respirators because its almost impossible to work in the same area with them running. I have a nice 3 days of full time drag racing planned for this year from june 19-22, already got the tickets for it.

Well, I think that most nitro owners would be pretty bummed right now. It does seem like electric is becoming more and more popular. Some of the nitro guys probbibly feel like people are forgeting all about nitro.

I know if I had a nitro and all the sudden these brushless guys were so hot with their quite electrics I would be mad.

Some guy goes to the store and picks up a 70+ electric RTR and thinks he's so hot. Me on the other hand tune my car and yet he can keep up with me so easy.

Not bashing nitro guys, just saying how I would feel. I would be mad. Not jealous, just mad that people do no work and get speed. It seems like they are forgetting that tuning the car is half the fun!

Indoor racing! [8D]

Once you get one, I think you will think much more of it then just an "inside toy".

Ive never seen an electric at my bash spots OR my track.

I did see one at the LHS, they were running it in the back.

I fired mine up and ran over it

We dont have electric racing here, only Nitros.

Plus ive got a pretty good set up for racing with my Hyper.

I'm not sure if I would get one. If it's not popular in your area.. Thats wierd though, I see mostly electric everywhere I go. Now the track in Lake Havasu had mostly nitros.

Brad, did ya take up hilifemt's challenge.?

ORIGINAL: hilifemt

Well the name of the thread is enough to start an instant flame war. So I see all kinds of post about blah blah blah. I post my video asking if any eletric guys do this. This is the response I get.

Any of you electron geeks have any video doing this?

most brushless monster trucks will absolutely kill nitro monster trucks in just about everything. Tons of torque, insane high speeds, etc. Brushless is in every way superior to nitro, unless your all about the smell, sound, and tweaking engines all day.
Since I live in the same town as this poster. I ask him to come to my bashing grounds so his brushless can kill my nitro in every way. still havent heard a response. and who says I 'tweak' my engine all day. If you don't have a clue don't speculate. anyway Brad, Im still waiting.

On a track, that would be a complete disaster waiting to happen in my hands. Thats why I love my nitros , I tell them what to do, not the otherway around

Nitro, runaway. I said runaway! Good boy!

That guys E-revo had way to much torque. For that reason, It probbibly wouldn't do good on a track. Still tons of power from a brushless motor though.

Honestely you dont know what your talking about

You have no idea how much fun run aways are .

Around 3 days ago, at the air field ( RC ), I got out my truck just to mess around, off it went.! I had to get into my 1:1 car and chase the damn thing down the entire runway avoiding landing planes and helis.! It finally decided it wanted to stop and it did. Just before the end of the runway.!

Tho it setteled down after that. The only time its given me grief

It has mood swings, I dunno what to tell ya

After 2 years of owning my Rustler (and driving almost every day), I have only broken down twice. Once my screw popped out after hitting a wall. Then I hit the curb at full speed and ripped out my rear a-arm.

Other then that, It's been solid.

OH REALLY? with my nitros at the track its the complete other way around. if your nitro stalls how are you gunna tell it to keep going? my electrics top qualify agianst nitros BECAUSE I tell them what to do and I control how fast I would like my elctric to go. at a point in time electrics are gunna be like a 100 times faster than nitros oh wait ther already are. I just had to say somthing when I read that. try and tell your nitros to run all day without stalling, i can sure tell my electrics that and nitro junkees in edmonton want a peice of my brushless? hit me up!

YES REALLY.!

Sadly I know how to tune. Mine never stall, yes never. The only stalling Ive ever had was when the engine was new...

I just read all 8 pages of this.. WOW! I'm suprised this didn't get locked yet! Im gonna run solar powered and start a new thread.. this debate will never end!

It's funny because I run with around 7 other guys and we all own different cars and trucks (nitro, gas, brushed, brushless) and we've never gotten into these wars... we just run! Some are faster, some handle better, some don't work at all that day (me normally). They are all different and equally as fun because you just DRIVE THEM.

Yeh, well, it's gonna get locked now. 3 warnings from 3 mods, and there are still a couple of people in here who just can't control themselves. I don't think anything further can be added to this discussion over what's already been said, I feel the poor horse has been beaten to death, buried, resurrected, beaten to death again, cremated, and now we're just pounding the ashes. Enough is enough, and I think if anything has been proved, it's that the original statement (electric dominating nitro) is fatally flawed.
