today was a good and bad day. i got my new parts for my next (full front and rear diff rebuild) and it took 4hours! first the pinions didnt come with screws, so i had to find some, then i put in the front diff backwards the first time, then the c-clip was missing in action and i made a new one with a giant c-clip, then the out drive gets ruined, then i replace that, end up putting it backwards (again) then i had to re fill the diff again, then the shock blew out, so i fixed that and i put bump stops in, then it came out of adjustment and took 30minuts to tune again.

damn that was a pain!

shocks in my opinion, are the eaisest things to fix. once you learn how to work with e-clips, they snap right back togather.

i would say bearing cleaning or chassis toe in ect, but i dont do those things
i said shocks, tho half the time i just get new ones. man im lazy!
I gotta agree with bearings. I have duratrax's crummy "teflon" sealed bearing in my m03. As much as the teflons seals work, they might as well be paper. I ran it in dirt once and they're scarred for life. I cleaned them out twice and still they make a grinding noise when spun.

I was going to say shocks, slipper clutch adjustment.. but somebody reminded me of the awful ball cups and e-clip removals.. I have now actually bought a tool which should make popping out ball cups easier.. I have not tested it yet though.

I love doing most of the work on my trucks, but I hate having to pop off ball joints and put them back on. Pain in the arse. Ball joints and E-clips. Hate 'em.

E-Clips.... the very bain of my RC existance!!!
Even with tweezers you still need to build a bunker around your RC to stop them shooting off into the horizon where they will never be seen again!!

i use a small screwdriver and put it pointed twoars the table or under a cloth, i get it right in the space where the middle part is on the pin and press fast and streight. those are my favorites to remove

but yeah, ball in socket joints suck, ecspecially when you split the cup[:@]

I put other. Working all of the suspension, mostly front end (had my first nasty crash...sooo many parts to fix!), is what bugs me most, especially when you think you have everything right, put it all back together, and some little simple part is in upside down and it doesnt work right, so you have to take EVERYTHING back in again.

also paying for stuff...dog-walking money doesn't cover too much in this hobby.
