It seems to me that there's a variety of tasks done in normal work on RC cars. I know for me, I hate to work on oil shocks. I can never get them built just right and too often they leak and leave a mess over the bodies. What do you hate to work on the most on your cars?

For shocks you need to get one of these (see picture below).
The thing I hate the most is having to pay for everything [:@]

I hate cleaning my emaxx after every mud run. But it is pretty easy with a hose. I also dont like maintaning brushed motors either. I have bad luck with brushed motors as it is..

I voted "Other". I happen to like building and maintaining my R/C's. The "Other" part I hate about R/C just is'nt coming to me right now (of coarse paying, but i hate paying for anything!!). And well as for cleaning....Not so fun but i wouldent say i hate it. Its a good thing to look things over after a run, cleaning is a good way to spot anything missing, broken, ect...

I voted "other" and the reason is......nothing. I hate nothing about R/C. It is a hobby I enjoy and it clears my mine of all lifes other problems. Same goes for my buggy and my airplanes. I just get away from every day crap and focus on having fun...

PULL STARTER RECOILS..... AGHHH!!!!
no one can top those SOB.
i spent 2.5 hours in the dark at night (decided to clean the one way right before bed baaaaad idea) putting that coil back into the 1/16 scale pull starter, and when i did i nearly cried for joy.
so by the time i was done, it was 2:00 AM...
i also dont like starting a stubborn engine and end up running out of gas a few feet from the starting point.

For me, probably starting and tuning nitro engines. Possibly shocks after that. Soldering, motor maintenance, and electronics are no big deal. Actually I sort of enjoy brushed motor maintenance and solder on some level.

Gearing..... Its annoying when your Rollout is incorrect and your just that little bit behind the other guy or you mess the rollout up and cook the motor..

I put other. What I hate most is waiting. Waiting around till it is your turn to race. Waiting for your batteries to charge between runs. Waiting in a long line at the hobby shop while another clueless customer holds the line up. Waiting for new products that should have come out months ago to finally come out. Waiting for the next race day b'cos the last race was rained out. etc.

You missed a big one- Gluing tires[:@]. I'm actually pretty good at it by now, but it still sucks.
I like doing everything else. I used to not like rebuilding shocks, but now it's one of my favorite things to do.

General cleaning of nitro vehicles is my r/c nemesis. Pretty much every other aspect is enjoyable to me, but I really hate removing spent castor goop and dirt. Electrics are much easier to clean. I love working on a well engineered vehicle, not so much the ones that require removing half the chassis to get at a differential, but even that's better than hosuework[

I love doing most of the work on my trucks, but I hate having to pop off ball joints and put them back on. Pain in the arse. Ball joints and E-clips. Hate 'em.

It's a toss-up:
#1 thing is adjusting the 1-2 shift point in the Savage 25 3-speed...whole tranny has to come out and be taken apart. Then back in it goes with a "hope" that now it's adjusted "OK"
#2 thing is taking out buggy differentials, cleaning the grease out, adding silcone oil, and putting back together.
All in all, I'm a bit lazy, and both these jobs take too long where a bit of a design change could make it soooooooooooooo easyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy.
