I am in the works of making a custom EP pede 4wd and 4w steering. I am referencing Thorbob's Thor Phase 1 project.

I noticed buggies and stadium trucks have their front A-arms in an angle along with the front skid plate.
I notice monster trucks have front A-arms horizontal.
What's the difference?
thanks,

Buggies and stadium trucks are generally set up to have a much greater caster angle than monster trucks. Having a more pronounced caster angle improves self centering ability and straight tracking.

As well as whats stated about, in a dead on hit the suspension can absord some impact rather than all the force going straight to the A-arm.
I would try to add some caster, maybe what Thorbob did but make the front skid and chassis braces on piece of metal?
