It definitely wont help.

IT looks cool but your performance will take a hit.

This has none of the features of a proper tuned pipe.

Looks cool as hell I bet! Smoke out of the rear!

What the hell is that thing? Did you make that or did you buy it? All those fittings look really bad for airflow and seems like it wouldn't be good.I guess there's only one way to find out, good luck.
I just ordered my RS4 3 SS a few minutes ago

If flow is what you're worried about, the fittings aren't so important. The long & narrow tubing accompanied by the 90-degree bends(especially the tee) are going to slow the flow and increase the pressure in the system.

Oh, and by the way, I wouldn't go with a HPI SS, for the same price you can get a Fantom, which is MUCH better. How much are SS, I believe they are about $120. For $110, you can get a '02 Fantom. Oh, and don't get that exhaust, unless you want the looks.

Thats actually one of the best looking dual exhaust I've see.It looks like whoever made at least tried to get the tuned pipe effect but it will still hurt the performance with all the beds and the T is really restrictive.Ive seen dual exhausts that are no more than copper tubing from Hone Depot. This one looks like someone put some time and thought into making it.If it's not to much money I say buy it and use it for a show piece or something but don't run it constantly because it will not help performance any.

I'm just wandering. Not so much about the flow, but what about all that unburnt fuel. With that many ups and downs and twists and bends. It is going to collect one heck of a mess inside.

With all those ups and down the oil will build up inside the exhaust and it will eventually hurt your engine because it has nowhere to go.The HPI rs4 3 Type SS is a good kit.I have one and love it.One of the first things you should buy for it is a new Tuned pipe the one it comes with sucks.Buy the fiber disc brake also because the stock plastic one wears out really fast and get a motor savers filter for it because the stock one is small and it needs to be cleaned often. If you got any other questions just ask.

Im using the Header it came with and an ofna pipe. The pipe was a little to long but I just broke out the old dremal tool and trimmed it up a bit and now it fits fine.I'm thinking about getting the Fantom works pipe to go with my new engine but they are out of stock at the moment.Try Paris racing or RB concepts or wait for the Fantom pipes to come in stock again but anything you get will be an improvment over that stock thing they call a pipe

I rather doubt he was talking about buying the SS engine, its far safer to assume that he meant the kit.

As far as tuned pipes, I agree, the pipe that comes in the SS kit is crap. I have no idea how other pipes perform on the car, but I run the Paris TurboRing and it made a big big difference in overall performance. With the paris pipe you have to drill your own hole for the pressure fitting, so putting it on the right hand side of the car isn't a big deal. You can either shove a piece of fuel tubing into the newly drilled hole, or you can JB Weld a pressure fitting in, its up to you. There is also a mounting brace welded to the pipe, but if you need to move that, all you have to do it grab it with a pair of pliers and twist it off, mine came off quite easily. Then JB Weld it to whatever part of the pipe you want to mount.

As far as JB Welding, I would strongly reccomend using JB WELD not JB QUICK. JB Quick has about half the heat tolerance of JB Weld, and JB Weld only takes 15 or so hours to cure, so if you do it early in the day, it will be ready to go by the next morning.
