Default Idle Issue

Hey guys, just earlier I started up my .15 nitro 4 tec and I'm having issues with it at idle (and most probably low speed + high speed too, but I just want to fix idle issue now). When it starts it idles normally, maybe a bit high on the revs side; and then I see the fuel going to the carb then all of a sudden rpm shoots up and the wheels spin at full speed. If I brake it stops the wheels but revs are still quite high. I'm pretty sure I've set the idle screw as far back as it can go.

does not really sound like an idle problem
sounds more like an air leak somewhere to me

Also, is it easy to re-attach or re-solder servo wires back onto those little pins that go in the connector?

Sometimes the small plastic retainers need to be bent down slightly, so that they keep the metal contacts from sliding out. They may be broken. If so, buy a servo lead to repair the connector.

Your idle setting could be set too lean, causing the idle to run away on you.

The actual wires that connect to those little pins are quite frayed and I don't want them shorting. I'll need to wait till next week to get my soldering iron back. Will try richening the low speed.

Just replace the servo lead, then. Steady hand and a minimal amount of good solder.
