Default Speed control question

Hi guys,

I'm new to the sport and just got an RC10 T4. It has an LRP AI speed control and i have a 7.2v 3000mAh battery. My problem is that if i have the wheels turned and then try to give it some throttle, it wont go but you can hear the motor buzzing. When i let go of the steering wheel the car will go. Do i need a bigger battery or is it a bad ESC?

That's a confusing one and haven't heard of it before! I don't think its the battery you might want to try and get a new esc but wait for other people to respond after me as I am not positive..

are you sure you have the pinion gear set screw on tight? That or maybe a blown diff gear or spur gear?

Yes,
The tranny and motor are fine. It's a brand new RTR truck and its done this right out of the box. The light on the ESC has been flickering and doing some weird stuff as well.

Ya, if the battery is good then it's either the esc or motor. Sounds like the esc though as it's having trouble putting out power to both the steering servo and the motor at the same time.

have you driven the truck before? if not you might want to check the throttle trim on the radio (make sure its at 50/50), and reset/reprogram the ESC as per the instructions

i also have a speed control question. I recently scored a 1/6th scale nascar off ebay, however it is the basic version and is not digital proportional and i was wondering if anybody made a 12v speed controller?

I am not affiliated with this guy but if your like *** is he talking about this site will set it straight http://www.1-6thscalenascarrccars.com/
